This is another Led Zeppelin classic, "Whole Lotta Love". Arguably their first mega hit it was from their second album and was peaking on the radio during their first big tour of the USA.  Not necessarily one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs (which probably would be The Rain Song, Ramble on, Kashmir, and The Ocean), but certainly is found in the top three of the general consensus overall. Yesterday I read a Rolling Stone article on the top 40 Led Zeppelin songs of all time and it was listed number one there.

I was definitely listening to it in my early teen years but didn't quite realize that we were dealing with a full-fledged "When Harry Met Sally" situation. It seems rather obvious now though (he said sheepishly). You can't get much more explicit than  "every inch of my love"." Come to think of it, you could only question it with a ruler, really.., i.e. to see if the claim comes up short, if you see what I mean. Okay, think I'll try to stop stooping to Donald Trump's level. Deal? Hope you like Whole Lotta Love.

In comparison to many of the songs I do, this was a real quickie. I polish it off in about five hours of work as compared to several days or even weeks for some of the company once recently like Kashmir or The Rain Song. Of course, helps to do some prepping ahead of time, practicing playing some of the parts in advance and warming up your hands and other sensitive body part for the real action to follow. I guess you could call this advance preparatory work "foreplay".
