Another great song by the Beatles. Did they write any bad ones? Probably not. This one is appropriate, because we are settling into the bleak sun-starved winter months. The last few days have been incredibly cold and windy. I can only imagine how bleak it would've been as George Harrison was writing the song in England, which is much further to the north and gets lots of soul-sapping low cloudiness from the ocean. Indeed, it could rather easily feel like years since one had seen the sun. No wonder that the Beatles were and we shall be in a few months rather stoked I should say to see the sun back, come spring. In Oklahoma, there is plenty of sun year round, so this is not especially a problem. But, can you ever have too much sun?

This one I played with two steel string acoustic guitars. One was doing the sort of lead for the capo on the seventh fret and the other, my Taylor guitar, strumming the mellow chords. There are a few minor mistakes. I have to see how much of a perfectionist I am

update:   I guess I am indeed at least somewhat of a perfectionist. I re-sang all the vocals, twice even, and cleaned up the guitar parts very slightly. I also remixed all the tracks and put several special effect plug-ins in place. So far it seems to sound great, one of my best, but I'm sure I'll notice a problem before the sun comes up here this morning. It's only 6:20 AM right now and it's dark. Too cold and windy for tennis, so more music-making....

THE BEATLES

                         "Here Comes The Sun"

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right
